About Department

 

The undergraduate curriculum of the Department of Mathematics aims to present the basic knowledge and mathematical thinking system in pure and applied mathematics. Mathematical thinking is much more than being able to do arithmetic operations or solve algebraic problems. Mathematical thinking is a complete way of looking at events, reducing them to their numerical, structural, and logical foundations and analyzing patterns on that basis. A student who gains this foundation has great flexibility in career choice. A student who graduates from our program can turn to many different fields such as finance, economics, education, informatics, biology, physics, philosophy and social sciences.
