The Voice Education Workshop, hosted by Marmara University between 26–28 April 2017, brought together academics, educators, performers, and researchers working in the field of voice education to discuss current issues, practices, and scientific developments in the discipline. Throughout the workshop, a wide range of topics were addressed, including the importance of the voice, fundamental principles of voice education, correct breathing techniques, voice training methods and approaches, voice health and rehabilitation, the Bel Canto technique, vocal performance in musical theatre, and various contemporary research studies related to voice education.

Through presentations and scholarly discussions, both the theoretical and practical dimensions of voice education were examined, allowing participants to share different educational approaches and research findings. Particular attention was given to the behaviors, technical skills, and pedagogical practices that constitute the foundations of effective voice training.

The studies presented by experts in the field highlighted the significance of voice education in both personal and professional development while providing valuable insights into contemporary approaches for maintaining and improving vocal health. The findings and discussions generated during the workshop contributed to the advancement of scientific and artistic studies in voice education and provided a valuable resource for future research in the field.
